Masked

By: Curtis Carroll, 06/05/2020

Masked figures wandering around,
Looking unhappy about the current lockdown.
Read the look in their eyes- it tells a tale,
No matter the person – male, or female.
Stressed out and tired of the curfew,
Wondering each day, what is there to do?
Not happy about the lines at the Food store,
Especially on weekends, when it’s even more.
Beaches are closed, one cannot swim,
Church-goers unhappy, not crooning their favourite hymn;
Water still not potable, since Dorian came ashore,
Yet the bills keep coming, each day, more and more.
Somehow, someday, this will all be in the past,
A new normal will appear with a new class.
Note: Discombobulated.
