"Untittled Feelings"

Shame, embarrassment, and pain.
I live with them all the days of my life.
The fear, the manipulation, the intimidation, the hurt.
Broken, damaged, secluded and ever distant.
I have to keep me protected…
Protected from anyone’s everything,
Protected from the world.
Shielded from the pain.
My faith is shaken, my will is deterred.
I’m happy one day, sad the next,
Hurt the next, angry the next,
The cycle never stops.
Broken, damaged, battered and bruised.
Scarred for life; branded, unstable.
A victim…
Someone’s prey…
I learned to fight back, I fought for my freedom.
I took my life back, but I’m still working on my mental.
Mentally I’m stuck, it’s like I can’t wake up.
The memories, the thoughts, the images, the scars…
I may be broken,
I may be damaged,
And yes I was battered and bruised,
I am a warrior damnit…
Strong, loyal, humble, dependable, dedicated, remorseful, and vulnerable.
I am a survivor…
You thought that you beat me into submission,
You thought that you isolated me from the world,
You thought that you could take everything from me.
Who’s the weakling now?
Who’s the dummy now?
Nothing to say?
Cat got your tongue?
You can’t have my soul demon, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.
This I ask in your name for you are my rock and my redeemer,
