Lovers'Maze

I would look at you with a smile
And you only reflected genuine love.
Who would have thought
That a being so gigantic,
With a heavenly look
Commanding salutes form every nook
Would create a wild contrast
With quite a rare humility.

You hastened to cover
The dark shades of life
With extremely colourful images.
With tender hugs,
Comfy cuddles and
Super sweet talks,
You showed me how far
The love of a man can go.

You always encouraged me
With your numerous gifts,
The volumes of unspoken words
On your cute,soft lips.
And the profound but silent beats
Of our own two hearts
When we are together.

The cloudy moments
When we let our prides ride
And deny ourselves of our desires,
We both know without doubt
That our connection was at its peak.

I licked greedily
The juices of your favoritism,
Very conspicuous affection
And unparalleled attention.
You made me the chosen one,
A little queen of a tiny kingdom
With you,my one man army.

Bitterly,things remain an open secret
But I prefer them locked away.
For in one way or the other,
You effortlessly shattered my heart
Into a million pieces of dust.

And with the longest and
Most painful ticks of time,
It healed
Although into a scarred tissue.
My becoming insensitive and heartless
Is better than another fitful heartbreak.

Naomi Adjeley

I am an 18 year old girl who just completed high school and getting ready for college. I have written a lot of poems for myself because it's something I often do when I'm emotional, that is, when I'm excited, sad, anxious or missing someone. I intend to write more of my poems and earn money from them to cater for college needs. I've always hoped that anyone would be inspired or touched by my poems. more…
