The birds that left us will not return to us

The birds that left us will not return to us
By: Muhammad Al-Shahat
Translated by Hassan Hegazy Hassan (Egypt )
***
I asked dad :
How do birds come to their nest
And are not ashamed when feeding her chicks
When some seeds fell off her chest...
I was just asking?
How birds perfect singing
And don't let seeds annoy her chicks
When they carry them with its beak
When they approach to feed them
I was looking in his voice
  For keys of a dream
to knock with them at the gate of the age
to let them enter
I knew that you will not lock the door
When I come to you
And won't leave the door locked
Before I go out of the dream
I saw you hide your eyes
So as not to see
Some of the refractions on my face
For me, Dad,
I no longer wear the suit of the feast
I already do not have any feast
The sound of birds no longer pleases
or moves the heart
Singing is no longer useful
While a deep wound is still there in the heart
I saw you raise some spikes
and scattering their seeds
To some of the birds that usually come to us
But the birds that left us,
Deserted forever,
Unfortunately, the birds will not return
 Again !!
