A Love Story

Till I met you I never knew
What love could mean; what love could do.
It seems so simple now,
But you, girl, showed me how.

My life was empty till you came;
I thought that love was just a game.
You opened up my eyes,
And made me realise

That love is caring, love is kind,
Leaving selfishness behind.
You taught me all of this,
Soon after our first kiss.

You tied the ends and sewed the seams;
Reshaped my life; fulfilled my dreams.
I owe it all to you,
And that's what love can do!
