Inspiration
Inspiration came
into my mind
and into my hands.
Through my mind
and through my hands,
inspiration came
and quickly left again.
Inspiration came
as the clock struck
eleven.
It was already leaving
by the time I had
pencil and paper
in my hands.
A tiny flake.
A single seed.
Inspiration came
and went,
but it left its mark,
and laid foundations
for me to build upon.
