Oh fragile is the flower

Dreams wither and disease on arching stem
Whilst beauty bloomed, as faceted gem
A single hope, delicate and fragile, danced in opposition.
Grasping thorns seduce with perilous intention
The broken bloodied petals strewn across the floor
And mirrored image lies shattered for evermore
Breath of life, pure and true holds mystery to an unenlightened few
Fragile is the flower full of promise on morning dew
That braves the day steadied bold with love and faith a-newed.
