fallen

Unholy council and trumpet sound an evil work to be heard; mankind's descent.
Hurried by blasphemous noises, even speeds his descent, lower.
Bloodstained fields cry out their testimony of man's hatred, as he falls even more.

two eyes opened, one closed, the knowledge of good and evil leads him down a path that is paved with lies.

Fallen,
In pain,
and yet, smiling because of the evil within;
subjected to the spirit above and the Earth below, he falsifies the image in which he is made.

Unable to become still and see this terrible demise of his own choosing, the dirt of thorns pricks his being.
Not knowing,
not caring...
Mankind has fallen.
