In silence

The stars have always told me something
conversing with me in silence
sometimes too loud to be heard or understood
but always said something in clueless guidance

The rhythmic glistening, like the Morse code
tell a story, perhaps many
the secrets of the universe that they hold
beyond the light we see
of maybe love, grief or just any

but the stars have always told me something
conversing with me in silence

I do know they tell me something
I keep my eyes open most nights without a blink
To not miss a word they pray
and for those nights where I dream
I dream of the stories they say

I know the stars have always told me something
conversing with me in silence
