Eventide
The sun sets without care for the day,
Slowly, silently drifting away.
To sleep, to dream; to refresh and renew,
Past questions of red through answers of blue,
Just a moment of silence, so still and innocent,
Like a pause in a sentence fraught with what it meant.
To dream...nay to live...to live in a dream.
To begin at the end and see what it means.
To roll the dice and throw caution to the wind,
To be who you were and not were to have been.
The sun always sets without care for the day...
'Cause tomorrow is always a sunrise away...
