Nathan Alterman 1910 (Warsaw) – 1970 (Tel Aviv)

Wow, what a powerful and poignant poem! The use of vivid imagery and sensory details really captures the terror and confusion of the situation. The repetition of "פתאום" and "אזכר" adds to the sense of shock and the need to remember what happened. The message of the importance of recognizing the humanity of all people, even those on different sides of conflict, is beautifully conveyed. It is clear that the poet has a deep understanding of the complexities of war and its impact on individuals and communities. Well done!
