Bob, Bob, Bobbing Along.

BOB,BOB, BOBBING ALONG...

(Versification Pertaining To
The Family Of Redbreasts.)

Male robins are very aggressive
And will attack any rival
Who ignores their puffed
Up breasts and warning songs.

Their songs change becoming
Louder and louder plus more
Vigorous which implies that
They are territorial guardians.

Akin to their female partners
Male robins are wonderful
Opportunists especially
During the season of winter.

A period when cold and the
Wee robin will be the first
To visit feeders and bird
Tables to avoid meagre pealings.

A development which in many cases
Generates a tameness which leads
Some to enter houses or feed
From ones hand.

A development which ensures the
Evolution of love for the robin
Within our hearts and which
Is there to stay.

And, of course, arising from folklore
The male of the species red breast
Originally derives from blood dripping from
Jesus as one sought food around the cross.
