Sheilas Feathered Friends

Sheila feeds them by day and by night
When the latter is clear and it appears
Now that they are definitely aware of
The moment to arrive.

At times there are dozens of them
Including Jackdaws, Seagulls, and
Crows. Plus Tits, Wood Pigeons,
Doves, Finches, Wrens, Sparrows,
Chaffinches, Robins, Blackbirds,
But mainly a flood of Starlings.

And, can they eat?
Bakery produce, farming produce,
Bird watchers produce…In fact there
Exists produce that one would not expect a
Bird to devour. But they do! Which implies
That they must share an extreme hungry hour.

However, Sheila’s activity is now a family
Tradition which keeps us in touch with the
Beauty of nature and its birdlife. For we are
In a position to see, hear, and act, as well as
Participating in the lives of our wonderful
And beautiful feathered friends.
