striving at the milling of time

i was born
in a windmill
which crushed my life
surely and stubbornly
after a while
instead of the screak
and the sigh of the mill
i heard a tic tac
i stepped out
and i watched the mill
from outside
i saw that instead of blades
pushed by the wind
there were clocks
pushed by the time
