Strolling With Teresa And John

As St. Teresa wrote or said: ‘God alone suffices…’
Thus, the Carmelite Way is a journey ‘Into’ Our Creator,
Which implies moving away from selfish behaviour and
All that keeps us from God. A challenge once expressed
By St.Paul: “What we have to do is to give up everything
That does not lead to God” (Titus2:12).

Thus, to dwell in the ‘Spirit of Carmel’ one must never
Replace God with our idols. Idols which take the form of
Attachments: that is the things unrelated to God within our
Lives. Thus, the field of contemplation is permeated with Jesus
As St. John of The Cross emphasised within his poetry and prose.

A silent climb of Carmel ending in a solitude permeated with
Love emanating from the Heart of Our Father is the fruit of a
Stroll with Teresa and John. And, of course, our Mother Mary:
The Mystical Rose of the Garden of Mount Carmel whose loving
“Yes” to the Archangel Gabriel ensured our wonderful salvation.
