Christmas Time In Derry.

It is Christmas time in Derry
And the people are full of joy
Preparing for the anniversary
Of when God gave us his boy.

His name being Jesus whom our
Creator sent via a virgin named
 Mary and a foster parent who
 Was eventually named a saint.

A reality ordained by God
From his nature of Love and
 The ‘yes’ of a Lady with whom
We hope to share his abode.

So let us enjoy Christmas time
For it is a fantastic feast and
There is no doubt in Derry
 It is one of the very best.

Oh, yes, it is Christmas time in Derry
And the  children are hoping for toys
From our dear old Father Santa Claus
Whether they are girls or boys.
