The Lion and the Sea



As he sat gazing at the ocean blue
His blood pumped and his heart flew
Pondering thoughts he well knew
That if he could just make it past those crashing waves
His kingdom would be endless for his rule and reign
On he plunged into the icy foam
Pushing hard for the calm
But as the law of nature goes
No longer on this earth would he roam..
A few miles down this lonely stretch of sand
Another young lion plotted his plan
As he sat gazing at the ocean blue
His blood pumped and his heart flew...

    Excellent visualization. The older generation is replaced by the newer one. Forever changing, the tide brings about a new chapter in the the life of the sea as our lives evolve as well. A recleansing of the process of life. Keep writing, we want to see more of your poems!
