Aurora July 22

The sunlight behind the clouds is peeking

n' across the sky a lone bird streaking;

a tall man before a silent crowd is slowly speaking

a calm n' assuring voice with a purpose n' a feeling;

a man who represents the power n' feeling of love

n' from whom those remaining will all take hope;

this leader, a man who does not lead by speaking

but whose very presence fills the vast sky above him;

a man who with his words is teaching;

n' touching us all, while deep within us reaching;

n' so across the sky a lone bird flying swiftly in silence;

like each of those alone below, some day to reach places we each won’t know;

whilst way beyond the clouds horizon, the fiery Sun sits squinting

to catch a glimpse of the man who is standing tall below.
