L'Écrevisse

Maurice Rollinat 1846 (Châteauroux) – 1903 (Ivry-sur-Seine)

Elle voyage à sa façon
Autour d’un petit rocher maigre ;
Son ruisseau, chuchoteur allègre.
Est caché par un grand buisson.

Tandis qu’un merle polisson
Raille un pivert à la voix aigre,
Elle voyage à sa façon
Autour d’un petit rocher maigre.

Et, lente comme un limaçon,
Noire comme la peau d’un nègre,
Narguant le poivre et le vinaigre,
Et le rouge de la cuisson,
Elle voyage à sa façon.
