Tic tac, tic tac ! Le moulin sonne,
Enfariné par tous les bouts,
Près du donjon plein de hiboux,
Dans la verdure qui frisonne.

Au bord du torrent qui façonne
Les joncs hauts comme des bambous,
Tic tac, tic tac ! le moulin sonne,
Enfariné par tous les bouts.

L’âne qu’un rien caparaçonne,
Suit dans l’herbe et le long des trous
Le meunier si blême et si roux
Qu’on dirait Pierrot en personne :
Tic tac, tic tac ! le moulin sonne.
