Le Mirage

Le ciel ayant figé ses grands nuages roses,
Émeraudés, lilas, cuivreux et violets,
L’étang clair, miroitant dans la douceur des choses,
Renvoya leur image avec tous ses reflets.
Dans l’onde, sous le souffle errant des vents follets,
Gardant leur infini, leurs airs d’apothéoses,
Leur éclat, leur magique et leur lointain complets,
Ils dormaient, invoilés, la langueur de leurs poses.
La voûte et lui fondus, ne faisant qu’un ensemble,
L’étang, du même bleu lisse et profond qui tremble,
Autant qu’elle, vivait ses décors glorieux :
Tel était le pouvoir du plus beau des mirages
Que j’admirais le ciel, sans relever les yeux,
Prenant l’eau pour l’azur avec tous ses nuages.
