Cette vipère de buisson
D’une grosseur surnaturelle
Jarretiérait la pastourelle
Qui donnait, un jour de moisson.

Au froid de ce vivant glaçon,
Elle ouvrit l’œil et vit sur elle
Cette vipère de buisson
D’une grosseur surnaturelle.

Comment oublier la façon
Dont la mignonne enfant si frêle,
Pâle, du bout de mon ombrelle,
Désenroula sans un frisson
Cette vipère de buisson !
