À la Circé moderne

Maurice Rollinat 1846 (Châteauroux) – 1903 (Ivry-sur-Seine)

Puisqu’un irrésistible appeau
Attire à toi toute mon âme,
Et que toute ma chair proclame
Le magnétisme de ta peau :
Irrite, mais sans le proscrire,
Le désir qui me ronge, et puis
Viens emparadiser mes nuits,
Ensorceleuse au froid sourire.

Aux bruits mouillés, tendres et fous
De nos baisers démoniaques,
Comme deux serpents maniaques
Dans le mystère enlaçons-nous !
Chère onduleuse, mauvais ange,
Abeille de la volupté,
Donne-moi ton corps enchanté
Et reçois mon âme en échange !

Mon désir s’enroule et se tord
Autour de ton beau corps de marbre,
Ainsi le lierre autour de l’arbre —
Horrible et doux, il rampe et mord.
Tes grands yeux caves et funèbres
Sont si libertins quand tu veux,
Et j’aspire dans tes cheveux
Tant de parfums et de ténèbres !

Moderne Circé, tes poisons
Auraient perdu le cœur d’Ulysse ;
Harcèle-moi de ta malice,
Salis-moi de tes trahisons !
Insulte-moi ! mais, ma maîtresse,
Laisse-moi repaître ma faim,
Dussé-je mourir à la fin,
Empoisonné par ta caresse !
