Cual la naturaleza
de la que forma parte y es fiel copia
el alma humana tiene ocultas fuerzas
silencios, luces, músicas y sombras.

Vagas nieblas también... las ilusiones
que el paisaje embellecen cuando brillan
y que desaparecen cuando asomas,
sol de la realidad que las disipas...

Y como en sucesión jamás turbada
todo nace en la tierra y todo muere,
en el mundo ideal de los espíritus
rigen eternas, semejantes leyes:

brotan sobre las tumbas de los muertos
las flores, mensajeras de alegría;
sobre la tumba de un amor llorado
brotan ensueños de tristeza mística.
