Désolée (Sorry)

I wonder if I have lost you,
While you sit ever so still.
Why are your eyes not you?
Why are your eyes devoid of will?
I have started to worry.

Time has passed, and you grew hollow.
Don’t stare so dimly out there,
Drained and drowning in sorrow.
Dance with me here, where,
I need not worry.

I have given you a peaceful room,
A place for only us, yet you seem lonely.
Are you bored of me? Please bloom
Again, make this place again homely.
I am now sorry.

I see now that you are not mine, no,
Such a smile needs more than me.
Such beauty cannot be kept, and so,
Sadly, you wither there before me.
I am truly sorry.

Illusions of colour are all that remain,
My rose is now all thorns, and,
My lady has gone so sour. Inane
Me covered her light with my own hand.
For this I am forever sorry.
