Silent Scream: A Teenager's Worst Nightmare

Silent Scream: A Teenager's Worst Nightmare
1

The room was full of light, I could see. His shadow loomed, I felt his glee.
He pinned me down, my cries ignored.
His weight on me, I was so forlorn.
I fought and struggled but he was strong.
My body violated, my spirit torn.
I lay there broken, in silent tears.
The violation seared through all my years.
We were just kids, not yet grown.
How did it come to this alone?
When it was over, I knew things will never be the same.

There is so much pain in this world, perhaps poetry can bring so healing.

There is an obvious deep connection with the words in the verse. The pain and all the emotions are apparent, making it easy to resonate with.
