Dance Me to the End of Love

Let me jump again into my dream
dropping through the trap door of time.

Kali in her nakedness
guarding the door
a knife in her one hand
ready to break the clocks

while in the other hand
she is hiding keys
from the grasp of rowdy prisoners

entranced by her beauty
and her dream creation
called Time

Between waking and sleep
I have snuck between her sheets
hoping desire for her
will be the fuel to set me free

searching my heart
leaving the gravity of mind
falling,
falling, falling
emptying my mind and pockets
falling back into my Self

My heart, please hold this place
stop the clocks
all of them
so I don’t ever lose myself again

Thumbing the well-worn pages
of my dream journals,
my paintings
my prayers
my hidden place markers

so I can find you again
remembering your silence
your fragrance

wafting my way
like the fragrance of the flower
which disappears into everything it touches

Remind me why you hide so well
hide so completely
breaking my heart, again and again

I am searching,
searching,
searching for you
like a crazed homing pigeon
wanting to deliver the
messages of my heart

I am lost again in your magic dance
Dance me to the end of love,
to a place where I disappear
and I am again lost in your beauty
and your Grace

and I can empty myself
into the holy mist
of your Name

where I am no more
Where only
the Dance of Love
