Moving Forward

Thank you, Lord, for giving me the strength to move forward,
For building a wall for me to climb.
You’ve moved mountains while I stalled time.
Had no hope.
I was blind.

A tainted angel,
I’ve seen war.
Rich with love, yet ultimately poor.

Your motivation has healed me.
With hesitation, I’ve learned your light is key.
A revelation, now I see.

You mean the world to me.
You move me forward.
Still, I grow.

I want You to know
I love You so.

I feel "Moving Forward"; Sharona's most recent poem is refreshing. In a world with a thin line being the difference between love and hate, it is most expedient to recognize that an Infinitely Higher Being exists, ready to provide that which we need to try yet again, what it is that defines our success. Or to improve upon our most recent successes which sees us welcoming gladly, our next challenge in Life.

Plus this poem is laced with great rhymes from stanza to stanza. Well done Sharona Reeves!

Your poem is really powerful. I love how it captures the journey of struggle, growth, and faith. The imagery of climbing walls and moving mountains is so relatable,it’s like you're expressing how sometimes life holds us back, but with faith, we can push through. I also really like the line "Rich with love, yet ultimately poor",it feels like a reflection on how love is priceless but can still leave us feeling empty at times. The transition from hesitation to clarity really stands out too. It’s like a realization that the light of faith is what guides us. You can really feel the growth in this one. Well done.

I find that the people I admire the most are the ones who have conquered the most difficulties and come out shining. I love the second line.
