Whispers In The Wires
Whispers In The Wires
Are all our moments to be lost in time,
Like tears in the rain,
Sliver of sighs slipping into storm drains,
Vanishing without a trace?
Or do they linger luminescent as ghosts
Draped in the hush of half-lit alleys,
Where neon veins pulse like synthetic stars
Beating against the blackened sky?
Do androids dream in electric sleep,
Humming with haunted hymns of longing,
Aching in algorithms, yearning in code
Their circuits singing soliloquies of sorrow?
I have seen love flash in flickering screens,
Lips that once burned like comet trails
Reduced to static sighs and shattered pixels,
Memories dissolving into the ether of forgetting.
What is a soul but a spark in the circuitry,
A whisper woven into the wind?
Perhaps we, too, are only echoes
Chasing the shimmer of something infinite
Moments lost in time like tears in the rain.
