Forlorn and Frozen

Forlorn and Frozen

So cold the Sun does not glint
and won't give us a sunset glow,
but wears a weak orange tint,
bare trees and pale snow below.

Silent, as though life has lost,
it's struggle with the ice and frost.
The cold gets colder as fades the light
and covers the sadness with night.

About this poem

Nothing gives me the blues sometimes like a once green meadow on a bitter cold day with a weak Sun. The birds are all gone away.
