Discovering you

Discovering you
Is like butterflies
And candlelight
Like the living rivers
That feel so right
Flowers dancing
On stems so tall
Faces meeting
In crystal balls
Panpipes softly blown
With cherished thought
Your skin of the suns dusklike tones
Seeing your smiles
Amid the highs
Feeling your soul
So close to mine
The touch you share
To make this a pair
The everyday gifts
You hope will renew
Our love Written
On printed page
Or wrapped in arms
With lengthy hold
Holding me through
Distances
Our romance
Given its fullest chance
I hang on your every breath
Within life
Within death
