In Defense of Their Sacrifice
In Defense of Their Sacrifice
Give him a chance.
You know who I am talking about,
The guy in the red hat.
Hell no—we ain’t goin’ back.
Back to chains. Back to fear.
Back to silence. Back to tears.
Watch progress vanish, disappear.
Lynchings, Stonewall, Rosewood, Tulsa,
Genocide, Salem—
Banned books. History erased.
You ask me to forgive, to forget?
Nah, I can’t do that.
The blood of the dead ain’t even cold yet.
I won’t stand by while you rewrite history,
Erase their struggle, snuff out their light.
They marched, they bled, they stood, they fell—
Burned alive. Beaten. Hung. Terrorized—living hell.
Rights they died for—shattered, betrayed,
Buried beneath your cruel charade.
I won’t build your damn wall.
Won’t exile the hands that built it all.
This land, their land—sweat in the soil.
Now you plunder their past, their blood, their toil.
You mock their pain with every lie,
Caging kids, stealing their civility.
Tiny hands grasp steel bars—numb, inconsolable.
Tears fall unheard—drowned in the dark, forlorn.
They didn’t give their lives for this—
A wasteland of hate, tyranny’s remains.
You tell me to work together,
But all I see is greed, dangerous power—
Poisoned seas, stolen breath,
Choking Earth, suffocating death.
Your so-called greatness? Nothing but rot.
Smoke, a plague, a hollow plot.
So listen close.
In their name, I rise. I roar,
A flame that devours, a truth to restore.
I will not recoil. I will not comply.
I won’t bow, won’t break, won’t let this one slide.
You started this war—here’s my reply:
I fight for those oppressed, for those cast aside.
Your rule is ruin. Your kingdom decays.
Tyrants fall—forgotten in days.
But their names remain, carved into quartz,
Every breath we take, every war we wage—
Evers, Hampton, Malcolm, King, JFK.
When you fall, remember this:
My fire still burns. My soul won’t quit.
Every offensive engraved with flames—
Unyielding, red, white, and blue collide.
A testament stained with blood from the fight.
Their courage fuels me, their fight ain’t done—
A wildfire rises…we are not alone!
The revolution has begun,
This time, it will be televised.
