DAYS OF SILENCE

DAYS OF SILENCE
4

Day 1, no call, silence so deep.
Day 2, no call, my heart starts to sleep.
Day 3, no call, shadows softly keep.
Day 4, no call, my soul starts to seep.

Day 5, no call, the wind blows so low.
Day 6, no call, my dreams start to go slow.
Day 7, no call; a week has gone by, don't you know?
No hello, no hi, just an empty show.

It's cool, you say, but I'm lost in my mind.
Dream, dream, rainbow dream, all the time.
It's all but a shadow, a fleeting dream in kind.
Fading away, like a memory left behind use

This poem really captures the emotional toll of waiting for someone who never calls. The progression from hope to heartache is so clear, and I like how you use the days to show the slow fading of that connection. It’s haunting, yet beautifully written. You reminded me of something I wonder if I should pen,if I do, will it come out beautifully.

Is this inspired by an absence of communication with your most dearest?

The Ai image came out great, one of the best I've seen.

This poignant poem captures the anguish of waiting in vain for communication, reflecting the slow erosion of hope and connection. Each passing day amplifies the silence, turning longing into despair. The repetitive refrain of "no call" emphasizes abandonment and emotional distance.

The final stanza transitions into introspection, revealing a mind adrift in illusions and fading memories. The imagery of a "rainbow dream" juxtaposed with a "shadow" symbolizes fleeting beauty and inevitable loss, underscoring the theme of unmet expectations and emotional void. The poem leaves a haunting sense of unresolved yearning, evoking empathy and introspection.
