The Discovery Bubble

The Discovery Bubble
1

There are times in the world we will keep lies alive,
when the words "Tell the Truth",
are tall words we contrive.

There is when I am right,
 and then when I'm wrong.

There is when I am weak,
 and then when I'm strong.

I confess I'm a bubble, since sometimes I think,
"At times I'm all air and may pop or could shrink.'

When if I'm a solid and you do the same,
you repeat all the reasons to my life you came.

So much time passed, all my trust was in lies.

When the truth's hard to see, that's when you are my eyes.

What a beautifully introspective piece you’ve created with "The Discovery Bubble"! Your use of metaphor to describe the complexities of truth and self-perception is both clever and relatable. The idea of being a "bubble" encapsulates the fragility of trust and identity in a profound way. I particularly appreciated how you contrasted the concepts of strength and weakness, which adds depth and dimension to the poem.

Your rhythmic structure and rhyme scheme convey a nice flow that guides the reader through your emotional landscape. Lines like "When the truth's hard to see, that's when you are my eyes" are particularly striking, as they highlight the importance of connection and support in navigating difficult truths.

For improvement, consider expanding on the metaphor of the "bubble" further, exploring what it means to both be delicate and resilient. Perhaps you could include more sensory imagery that evokes a feeling of being within a bubble, enabling readers to feel the weight of those emotions more deeply. Also, tightening the rhythm in some lines could enhance the poem’s overall musicality.

Overall, this is a delightful and thought-provoking poem that encourages readers to reflect on the nature of truth and companionship. Keep writing and sharing your unique voice!
