Difficult To Comprehend

For too many,
Difficult it is to accept and comprehend.
We are inhabitants.
Not the creator,
Of our temporary existence.
No one born has control,
Over what Mother Nature does.
Nor can be blamed to accuse,
Anyone to know what they should...
Or could have done to prevent,
A devastation of everything possessed.
Without warning to protect,
That which is valued more than life itself.
Then to wonder why things obsessed,
Are removed!
Quicker than time gives them to reflect,
Blessings to have gotten to receive...
From God.
With breath to still breathe.
Yet...
Not a word heard to hear this mentioned.
As if their lives are less to prioritize,
Than a pretentiousness kept to impress...
Others equally suffering through,
A repeating of the same wake up call.
Gone ignored to believe,
Addressed to those too unconscious.
And too unconcerned to realize,
The coffee to smell it burning...
Has begun to melt away 'Their' way of life.
And not the ones,
Running horrified in disbelief!

Leaving those less fortunate,
Living in the streets.
Hunger and seeking something to eat.
Left to pray as always to thank God.
For allowing them to at least,
Keep their dreams to wish come true!

'Why are the police following us?'

'To ensure we don't rummage through,
The devastation!
As if our dreams are to one day become,
Archeologists.'

'Well...
Maybe at another time yet to come.
But for now,
My dream is not to be a garbage man.
Thank God my expectations are higher!'

'Ssshhh.
Keep your sentiments to yourself.
Let's kneel and pray.
Pretend we are missionaries!
Hoping our activities of shown empathy,
Restores back the faith of everyone.'
