She stands in the pouring rain
Hair sticking to her swollen face
Her eyes puffy and crimson
Her arms dangling to her side
She’s been crying for what seems like hours
The tears now blending in with the ice, blue raindrops that just keep coming
Her frail body, almost ghostlike, shivers uncontrollably
People pass her on the street as if she doesn’t exist
As if she is invisible
No one seems to notice the sad girl
Crying in the pouring rain
The sad girl with a broken heart
Hopeless and desperate for her true love to come back to her
Even if it’s a lost cause
She will continue to wait for him
