She is Like the Moon

She is like the moon.
Forever shining so brightly.
Her beauty will make you swoon
as she lights up your sky nightly.

She will go through phases
as we all sometimes do.
Her light can feel like mazes,
and her love will make you woo.

Sometimes she is so full of light,
that she brightens up the dark.
Then there are times when she's as dark as night,
but she still makes her mark.

No matter what phase she's in,
she is truly a beautiful sight.
She makes you feel from deep within
that you can't live without her light...

About this poem

I was inspired to write this poem while camping in Arkansas. I was looking at the moon and all of the stars while having a conversation with a friend about how we all are like the moon is a way, because of all of our own phases we go through in life.

In spite of the not so good side of this, she is still all that the poem says which makes her desirable. The not so good points and the good one which make her precious to be.
