Healing With Grace

Healing With Grace
1

If life has been kind,
and you’ve made no provisions,
if suicide is not a thought,
nor intoxicated decisions,
if isolation’s sting
has never touched your mind,
don’t judge those who hesitate,
who struggle, who climb.

For some, faith is fragile,
clinging to the hope
that things will change,
that they’ll learn to cope.

Right now, many live
in shadows, in fright,
their days haunted
by unforgiving hindsight.

Some spend lifetimes
staring demons in the face,
fighting battles by the dozen,
seeking solace, seeking grace.

The past can linger,
like a ghost that won’t leave,
causing some to die
a little more, as they grieve.

Yet, through the darkness,
hope’s gentle embrace,
survivors rise,
finding healing with grace.

This is raw and real. Most really do spend a lifetime fighting off evil temptations in this upside down world and can only prey for forgiveness and peace in the end
