BALaNCE

Life without love is
nonsense for all, believe me.
love without Life sucks;
so, if both are left wanting
not a chance in hell exists.

About this poem

A life lived singularly is fine, and some individuals can be 'fine' existing that way. However, isolation rubs against the grain of our species' genetic code—we are social creatures by design. Some of us—myself TOTALLY included—choose to exist as "lone wolves," and find that that struggle is REAL. "BALaNCE" therefore serves as my own personal reminder to seek out others: for relationships of any kind. Also, "Life" is capitalized because of it's all encompassing nature—so input whatever "Life" conjured in you when you read it a second time. *If you, dear Reader, are anything like me, you could do with a gentle, poetic reminder to go make a friend ;)
