Mother Universe

Hits hitting from all corners of the earth,
With no corner to run to, for a rest.
This one feels more like a test!
Slowly, losing patience.
Life become better with acceptance,
I know!

Emotions or rather pain clouding my entire existence,
My soul on the side longing for independence,
Harsh is life.
Fear and worries of failing,
As all I ever seem to do is falling!

Took time to study the life of a bird in a cage,
With only limited space to spread it's wings,
I failed my studies and instead, became the caged bird.
No space to move around or rather, spread my wings.

Dear mother universe, allow me some peace.
Allow me what my soul longs for,
For my soul longs for calmness and rest,
Allow me to spread my wings,
For I, long to fly high.
