Legacy

I lay here wondering if you will come
Or whether I shall die alone
I spend my life doing for others
What do I have to show though
Empty promises
Empty dreams
No legacy
I try and try to do what is right to no avail
Only to get rejected
Abandoned
Forgotten
However much that happens I never give up
I never stop trying
I still have hope
