A Comme Amour

A Comme Amour
By William He

How many cherish your moments of grace.
Baptized in sleek piano piece,
Sky surface mirrors the deep gulf of sea blue.
A bitter fascination through the fading forest hums,
The violet breathing scented music round.
With every note and syllable,
Through the Autumn's whispers,
It is warbling the sound the sighs of buried bloom.
The clouds appear like phantoms,
In the purple blood of dusk,
The sunset glow through sanguine waves,
The melody that is deep and liquid-slow.

Mellow-voiced seagulls grow more melancholy in their tones,
There is weird fancy in their echo,
Heart to the subaqueous stillness of the sea.
Through sheen and shade, through dusky dells,
Ultramarine music climbing a golden hill.
The island and reef mantled with red leaves and yellow foam,
The peninsula scattered with dead branches dipped in loam,
The green is growing yellow,
And the yellow turning sere,
The evening is enkindling with strings,
At the heartstrings unfurling suave wings.
