Parasomnia

Quaid-Uz-Zaman 1954 (Jamalpur)

you may call it  a poetical weapon
but to me, it's a dream,
a nightmare,
where I can see and feel  nothing,  but all the horrors
i can't speak up the least
nor can I protest
even shedding tears is a gross crime
my voice muted
my eyes blindfolded
handcuffed are my hands
and with benumbed  legs,  i fail to run away
and I run and run, but to nowhere
being sad and anxious, and in agony,  I made some peculiar sounds
they say, it was only a sleep disorder of a special kind,
and all that happened  in
a nightmare I was  caught in,
and I  could still remember, as I habitually do.
'consult a doctor or a dream interpreter'
--- they added.
