Feather

Feather/ Lift me up and take me away/ Your light, I’m heavy/ Gloomy, shadows cast a pond the day/ Be gentle with me, I’m sensitive/ sensitive runs emotionally deep to degrees in which the roles we play/ Riding the wisp of the wind/ that smooth manipulation of up down tumble around guidance until the end/ See the mind is a powerful thing/Stay with me, as an adult in step/ Tears are a form of laughter from a child that has whelped/ Life is full of turmoil; negligence; war; half stepping; a yearning desire to help/ Our heads are imprinted with Altered Reality (AR)/ Like Virtual Reality (VR)/ Our thoughts are pulled over our minds revealing different scenarios/ Not only are we programmed from our on manifestations, we are programmed daily from subliminal code/ Run by the depths of your pockets; the degree of your connections; the eye of the beholder; the shade of your skin/ Slavery; welcome to true insanity where we’re drugged into believing doing the same thing over and over shall garner a win.

About this poem

This poem was written one night trying to fight insomnia. From my experience, at some point I’ve been plugged in to life and at times I’ve felt like a on looker just watching life pass me by.
