Thy Mighty Being

Ax.Barajas 1980 (Illinois)

Throughout the hands of time.
Underneath thy burning golden sand.
Myths and stories told of a forsaken
artifact.

Men have tried to conquer. Rage war,
to gain your absolute power.
Countless souls have gazed upon your
ominous glow.

In the face of fallen pharoahs. In the
eyes of the great sphnix. Kings and sultans
try to prevail.
Greed takes over consumes a man's
soul to the core. Envy infesation on the
mind. Harvesting in man's desires.

A god like among men. A being, an entity
With no limit to fill man's desires and wishes.
Change the essence of poor man's
luck all possible.

Across the Arabian sky. Enslaved for
eternity. Carrying with you centuries of
knowledge and virtue.
Three wishes to give, three wishes to make.
Being Wise not to squander.
Battling through many foes. Sacraficed so many lives. To be in the presence of this mighty being.

Lay down your burdens and erase all
your fears. The mighty being
stares arms folded, not blinking once.
One wish to give, one last wish to give to govern all. He speaks to you these wise words.
You battled monsters and vanquished many demons. Kneel before this mighty being from the past.
See the power of all your dreams come true
Reveal in the eyes of the one that is pure. Pure of heart, pure of mind will not squander.

You have come so far, he awaits patiently.
Not hesitant, not worry, a stoned face. Subconscious mind speaks to you.
Release him and let him be free. Do what is right. To be one with the heavens among the stars next to Dracos lair. You pause and take a deep breath and make your last wish.

You close your eyes and wish for it to be free. The brass lamp begins to shake turning glowing red in the sand. Causing you to fall back. The mighty being is warped back in a dusty cloud. Breathing anxiously not knowing the out come a pause of silence remains.
A burst of smoke shoots out like a comet into   the night sky.

This collasal giant emerges from within the clouds floating and smiles back you an image so transparent startled and disbelief.
You look back as you whisper beneath your breath. Be free, you are home. No more wishes only endless dreams to fulfill.

Thunder crashes as thee o mighty being continues to grow into the heavens. His chains break, his neck brace breaks. Lightning crashes against his chest that bursts into a big bang covering your eyes. You look back at veil of stardust falling across the mountain tops.

All goes silent, moon glows twice as bright. Standing alone with all your riches you bury the lamp in the cold sand. A smile of relief a feeling peace restored. Thee old mighty being watches among the stars happy and free.
Riding on camels back into the endless sand.

About this poem

I get inspired by what I see. Sort of a tale and story in a different perspective.
