A nefelibata's driving licence

My instructor says that I lapse in focus
It drives me insane 'cause I know it's realistic
They'd be ready uphill to stay present at stop signs
Instead I'd go upstairs and reason to stay cognizant

There's a temple in my head. An actual temple where I pray
Sometimes drawers and corridors appear and clouds keep back the rain
Suddenly I reverse and must decide how much to try
Some days all that I've got isn't nearly enough to drive by
