Vil De nu være stille i Stuer og Sale,
Saa siger lille Poul sin store Tale;
Jeg er den ældste af de yngste To,
Kan bedst holde Tale, kan I troe.
Jeg tømmer i dag Sølvbryllups-Kruset
Og gratulerer fra hele Huset,
Fra Unge og Gamle, fra Store og Smaa.
Jeg har mine bedste Klæder paa,
Og mødte jeg ganske dem foruden,
Saa kunde man troe, jeg var Elskovsguden;
Thi jeg er velskabt og sød og lille.
Men det var ei det, jeg sige vilde!
— Min Tale den er som et Træ, der groer,
Den har af Ønsker en Blomsterflor,
Og hver en Blomst, baade lille og stor,
Har jeg kysset paa; saa sandt jeg troer,
Bag hvert lille Blad et Kys der boer
Til Bedstefa'er og til Bedstemo'er.
Det knalder med Hurra i Stuer og Sale!
— Det er lille Pouls store Tale.
