Our First

Evan J. Soltys 2007 (New Jersey)

Our First

When I first laid eyes on you
 I thought I was stuck in an inescapable psychedelic state,
 for my eyes had never seen such a luminescent aura.

Your voice deceived my ears,
 for I thought I was put into an unbreakable spell casted by a witch;
when you spoke, my body went numb, it yearned for your soul.

Only when your lips touched mine, my body felt again;
 my heart had been restored of its broken pieces,
 beating for you faster than light.

Your tongue tasted of strawberries dipped in chocolate,
 my favorite snack -- I swiftly got addicted to your tongue as I fell deeper
 in love every second our lips remained locked.

As we kissed, the smell of your perfume and pheromones filled my lungs
 faster than my brain could send signals to my respiratory system -- The
 high I  experienced was stronger than any narcotic ever made, it made it
 difficult to control myself.

I will never forget that moment, it only slips my mind when I fall asleep;
 I wish to relive the moment a billion times over -- I pray to lucid dream forever in that moment, for it proved to me that love is more than feelings.
