Rot

what if i never meant the world
just as you said i did
what if i never saw the stars through your eyes?
i think, that would truly be a fate worse than death, my dear
for i yearn for you through all the years
the light left my eyes as you said goodbye, walked away from me
till this day it still remains, the hopeful memory
i sit and wonder often times what we could have been
many times i sit and cry for what i could have said
i could have told you that i loved you dearly so
or that i wished to share your pain through all its grueling days
that i would love you anyway, through all the terror and naught
but that you would soon banish me out to the cold desolate waters
of the sea of love, eternal rot.
