Carlton Roosevelt Shields
Carlon Roosevelt Shields is my grandfather.
He once lived with my grandmother until his death in 2017.
I remember him being there sitting on his favorite sofa watching the North Carolina Panthers play professional football with a Colt 45 in hand and a cigarette smoke of marijuana.
He was very quiet, yet very agile with his beer belly and African American Indian skin and dark, black curly hair. He paid himself plenty of attention from people known as "Ice water" in which he'd buy goods and services from people around the neighborhood.
My grandmother loved him. I even read his fortune as him being both Madeen of Final Fantasy IX and Princes Bailey to my grandmother's alter ego in Dreamland called Freya of the same game title.
That is just how strong a love they have for each other.
I often feel his presence in the air whenever I need him in my schizophrenic head. However, often, I do really miss him.
